Find out more about the paths from the words of those who have already experienced them
I would recommend this experience because: walking is therapeutic, being in a group you learn so many things, seeing community realities opens your mind and makes you realize that there is an alternative way of living, there are so many beautiful and warm-hearted people ... because the silence while walking speaks for itself.
During the walk one is in contact with nature which is healing, with oneself in meditation and with other people in the group united in heart. For me, the walk has been a metaphor for my life.
I would recommend this experience to anyone who has the desire to find themselves and to find, to walk in silence and realize that in the silence there is life, to meet brothers and sisters on the road like me, to be mirrored in each other's eyes and see themselves in their own shine.
These paths are not mere walks, but are paths toward a greater awareness of who we are and what the Other is in relation to ourselves, a “scaled representation” of what happens throughout the journey of life. They are paths toward a humanity the world is looking forward to.
You have shown me the world where I want to be and where I feel free to be Me.
You have been Great in everything at every moment, the energies you emanate are of love, trust and sincerity.
See you again soon: I'm in it now!
Thank you with a happy heart 💖🦋
Safir has this job in his blood, he was born to do this, he was able to manage the group and employ a lot of strength despite walking as well. I understand very well the responsibility and mental energy you have to put into the circles to lead them at their best, and he was able to do all this perfectly.Giovanni ditto, he is great as a leader, safe and focused, attentive to everyone and always available and organized to help someone with the movements if they had difficulties.
Silence allowed me to feed on nature in all its facets, open all five senses more, communicate with the nonverbal, listen to myself and together with the presence of the group discover and sometimes solve some of my limitations...But these are just words not enough to explain the experience deep down.
I loved the silence.I discovered the strength in myself and fed on it in every moment on the climbs! I discovered my thoughts, healthy ones, silent conversations with glances, attention to nature at every step, birdsong and their feathers.
I wasn't actually ready for this silence, I had brought headphones and books to listen to, thinking that I would practically experience the path in solitude... but the choice to remain silent, present on the path, gave me so much more.I discovered a lot about myself, I had a lot of time to reflect on the emotions that were happening to me during the walk.I also made a lot of connections, if only through glances, that surely by isolating myself I would not have had.
I would recommend Steps of Quiet to those who, like me, love walking, these territories, and learning about new realities. To those who have questions or are on a quest, all of which are present in one experience!I would especially recommend it to those who are searching for their place and function in the world 🙂 so many fervent insights into life and inspiration come.
Thanks to the silence, I was able to enjoy the trail more, be focused on my steps and enjoy the magnificent views.I was nourished by the sounds of nature and our footsteps, the beauty of the colors, the wind and that subtle force that united the group on the walk.
Especially in the woods, I “rode” the silence as an act of respect and sacredness toward the nature I was passing through, and as an opportunity for a deeper connection with it.
The silence allowed me to enjoy nature, the landscape, the relationship with myself, the connection with others in a completely different way than I am used to.
Safir, Giovanni: I want to say thank you. You were both humanly wonderful, two excellent companions, sensitive to each other's needs, caring, attentive to making sure every aspect of the walk went smoothly. It was nice to get to know you a little more with each step you walked. Continue in this mission of yours.
Walking in silence allowed me to listen to myself and my surroundings. I discovered that only step by step, with concentration on the present step, can I reach far.
Thank you for organizing this walk: it allowed me to have a wonderful experience that I will always carry with me. It was also a great idea to partly help communities that need funding. The fatigue and length of the stages alternating with the breaks I think were well calibrated and allowed for experimentation.
I thank you both immensely for deciding to give us this opportunity, for the practices you taught us, and for the understanding and support I received throughout the experience.
I am very happy to have had this experience of contact with nature and ourselves. These realities of cohabitation in the city and in the hills give hope for a future that is not only of solitude. I recommend Silent Steps, because still it is not only walking but also relationship, knowledge, new visions of life.
Guys [Giovanni and Safir], I thank life that brought me to you. Together you are perfect, you complement each other and have a beautiful energy.
I am very happy with this experience because it allowed me to learn about community realities on my doorstep. It was very enriching. I really appreciated the silence during the walk and also the choice that Giovanni and Safir made to take us on paths that were not too beaten. I would recommend this walk to those who want to discover different parts of living together and experiencing nature and sociality.
Safir and Giovanni accompanied us with great professionalism and expertise through wonderful territories. Thanks to them, I had unique experiences, discovering places and meeting special people. Every moment was enriched by the silence of nature, play, challenge and shared affection. An unforgettable experience that I will always carry with me.
Walking together with a group is a beautiful way to go beyond one's individuality, especially when those who walk in silence, as in this case with Steps of Quiet. For me it was really very nice to be welcomed by the communities... to arrive as a pilgrim, and to experience this dimension of a group moving and being welcomed.
Thanks to silence, I had the possibility to listen to myself and nature, observe the movements of my thoughts and also the possibility to let them go. Also in silence one can communicate with others on different levels.
I am recommending this path because it is a beautiful and uncommon experience to have. Because you meet new people and also work on yourself.
Silence first confirmed to me that my mind is a radio that talks nonstop. It is not easy to silence it and bring it back to the present moment. Walking in silence created a sense of peace all around and allowed me to have fewer distractions.
I appreciated the walk in mindfulness, the practices, for the welcome and uniqueness of the communities visited.
I have already recommended this walk to others, because if walking together is already beautiful in itself, stopping in communities instead of b&bs or hostels is even more beautiful!
I hope you will want to push into other territories and bring this experience to ecovillages all over Italy. And I hope I can make myself useful to help you when possible 😉
I have found that in silence there is less effort; it allows me to find inner peace.
Silence illuminated my shadows.
During the silence I was nourished by the power of the connection of the whole, the universe around and the voice of my soul.
It is an excellent formula for getting to know in depth both those who are there to have the same experience and the realities one is going to visit. One is supported in the fatigue, difficulties, crises and in the wonder and surprise of knowing oneself, the group and the places.
I will bring this way of walking into my life on my own physical, postural level because it has served me to be able to meditate while walking, which I could not do before. I bring the importance of the union of the breath to the movement of the body in a conscious way because it gives me centering.
What did the silence bring me during the journey? A great energy from being in the present by decelerating the mind, feeling alive, various insights coming into the space that I have and you have given me.
